Biography

Born in 1960 November 5, In the village of Trušeliai, Klaipėda district.

Permanent residence address – Trušeliai village, Sendvaris eldership, Klaipėda district.

In 1985 Graduated from Kaunas University of Technology (formerly Kaunas Polytechnic Institute), Faculty of Electrical Engineering and acquired the specialty of Engineer-Energetics.

By appointment started working as an energy specialist at Kaunas Reinforced Concrete Structures Plant 3.

In 1990 returned to his homeland and started farming with his parents. He was actively involved in the activities of agricultural organizations – headed the Board of the Lithuanian Dairy Producers Association,

was the Chairman of the Dairy Council under the Ministry of Agriculture, a member of the Board of the Chamber of Agriculture and a member of the Lithuanian Cooperative Agricultural Cooperative.

Was the chairman of the Chamber of Agriculture of the Republic of Lithuania for two terms. For three terms he represented Klaipėda district residents in the district municipal council, served in the Rural Affairs Committee and was the chairman.

In 2016 was elected to the Seimas of the Republic of Lithuania in the single-member Gargždai district.

2016–2018 was the Minister of Agriculture of the Republic of Lithuania.

In 2019 elected as Mayor of Klaipėda District.
