Small and medium business development programme

From 2006, the Klaipėda District Municipality Administration has been running the Small and Medium Business Development (SMB) Programme, the purpose of which is to stimulate the entrepreneurship of local residents and the development of small and medium businesses, thus contributing to the reduction of unemployment rates and increasing employment in the Klaipėda District.

Based on the provisions of the Small and Medium Business Development Programme approved by the Klaipėda District Municipality Council, the program can provide funding to businesses that fall into the category of small and medium business for the purposes of registration, participation in trade fairs, conferences, training events, purchasing work equipment and other expenses. According to the provisions of the Programme, no more than 20% of the funds allocated for the programme can be awarded to a single applicant.

Every year, small and medium businesses registered to Klaipėda District can submit applications for funding up to June 1 under the Small and Medium Business Development Programme of the Klaipėda District Municipality. The documents that need to be submitted and more detailed information about the kinds of expenses that are finance can be found in the provisions of the Programme presented below.
